Active Winter Break

When the Bernauer Hochtal and the surrounding Black Forest sink into the snow in winter, there are perfect opportunities for all kinds of winter sports: skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, hiking.

Cross-Country Skiing

The Bernauer Hochtal and the neighbouring townships have a huge number of carefully laid out and excellently maintained cross-country ski runs for all skill levels. Our guests enter an amazing winter landscape, right in front of the door. There are ten cross-country trails in our valley alone, from 2.4 to 50 km long, suitable for all demands from gentle to steeper gradients or just beautiful long flat passages. They are ideal for skiers who prefer classic cross-country as well as for those who prefer to skate.

All cross-country ski runs are networked with each other.

Winter Hiking

There is hardly any greater pleasure than a winter hike in the Bernauer Hochtal and the surrounding forest on a winter day with plenty of snow and sun. More than 100 km of well developed hiking trails offer unforgettable nature experiences.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Köpfle, Spitzenberg, Hofeck - the ski lifts in the Bernauer Hochtal access a wide range of ski runs in different categories. The Ski School Bernau, a professional ski school approved by the German Ski Instructors Association, is located directly at the end of Bernau / Innerlehen. The School has offers like "Kids on Snow Slopes" and the "DSLV Skiing Safety Training for Adults".

Nearby, in the winter sports areas of Feldberg, Schauinsland and Hinterzarten, there are other challenging downhill runs.
